How to make Bacon Wrapped Asparagus in the Oven
Preheat oven to 400° F and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil for easy clean up.
After your asparagus is washed and trimmed, brush with a little olive oil, and then season to your liking. I use black pepper, garlic powder, and just a smidge of salt as the bacon is already loaded with it.
Cut the bacon strips in half length-wise, and then wrap the strips around each asparagus spear as tightly as possible.
Place them on your prepared sheet pan and cook in the middle rack for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender. If you like your bacon extra crispy, turn the broiler on for the last few minutes of cooking.
- The thinner the bacon you use, the crispier it will become.
- If your asparagus is thin, you can wrap 2-3 spears together in a single slice of bacon.
- If you end up with any leftovers, reheat them in an air fryer set to 390° for about 3 minutes. Enjoy them as is, or you could even chop them up and toss into a breakfast scramble or mix with pasta.
